Highly recommended for those in the applicable trade. The analysis done by the Author on the Psychology of soldiers and officers during the first world war can be applied to any sort of leadership to some extend.
Written between the First and Second World War, Von Schell provides insight on German Army lessons learned adllf are timeless and applicable to any generation of military professionals.

War is governed by the uncertain and the unknown and the least known factor of all is the human element. The main idea is that peacetime training is different than war, leavership the lessons are mostly concerned with how to make peacetime training more effective.
