I purchased this a long time ago and like far too many books I left it on my Kindle shelf. In a world increasingly indifferent to Christian truth, followers of Christ need to be equipped to communicate with those who do not speak their language or accept their source of authority. If you read through this work and then want to review it to see what you may have missed, Koukl has made kpukl possible with this very helpful section at the end of every chapter.
See another review over at Truthbomb Apologetics. I do not agree with everything in the book, and sometimes cringed at his non-presuppositional examples or philosophy. A good example given in the book is how to respond to someone who just said that it is irrational to believe in God, to whom you could ask: But nothing he says would communicate to the lady that his convictions are Christian.
If nothing else, it gives them tools to assess the bigger questions that eventually come up. Please, make some comments about these tactics. This is a handbook suitable for the layman and professional apologist alike. And with Jesus at work, arguments convince. This is done by asking clarifying questions, such as ‘What do you mean by that?

Jun 22, Craig rated it really liked it Shelves: And Columbo is essential in this kind of scenario: The ideas in the book have application well outside the sphere of Christian apologetic and as such this is just as much a helpful book to non believers as to Christians. On one hand, I was excited to see in book form what I have heard Koukl demonstrate so many times on his live radio program: Prepare for an Attack Cold-Case Christianity: This same skill is helpful in any conversation—even those with other Christians where we are discussing subjects on which we do not agree.
In addition to the expanded and fresh material, I found the summaries at the end of each chapter to be particularly helpful.
